An unusual high valley only 45km from KL
Lots of rivers, and places to camp
Lots of guest houses and boutique places to stay
Small roads all over the place leading to trails into the mountains
This is a great place to camp and go for walks - the trails tend to be closed between late November to January to allow the trails to recover
You can camp for free in a few places and during the week there will always be empty spots
You’ll have a chance to see Siamang (a big gibbon) and hear them singing
A strangely bare hill about an hour's drive from Desa ParkCity
The walk up to the rocky top is excellent, and there are so many huge rocks exposed on the hill
It gets hot up there because of the lack of shade
You can keep walking to get to a higher peak in the forest, but it is a little underwhelming, although a lot cooler in the forest.
