Kyrgyzstan

We flew to Bishkek, spent two days getting supplies and equipment and then headed off in to the nearby Ala Archa mountains for 5 days of acclimatisation trekking. We then spent another 5 days staying in an orphanage in a small village 100km from Bishkek, before heading east to Karakol for our main trek. After 7 days trekking in the Tien Shan mountains, we returned to Karakol and then went to Cholpon-Ata, a resort town on the shores of the 170km long Lake Issyk-Kul. We eventually flew home from Bishkek.
